Black Holes
There are three main types of black holes consisting of primordial, stellar, and super massive. Black holes are invisible, but scientists are able to find them when observing behaviors of materials around them.
Types of Black Holes
A primordial black hole is a type of black hole that is formed, not by the death of a large star, but by the extreme density of matter present during the universe's early expansion. They are the smallest type of black hole and they could be a candidate for dark matter.
Stellar black holes are medium-sized black holes that are the most common. They can reach the mass of about 20 of our Sun's mass. Scientists say that there could be dozens of stellar black holes in our galaxy.
Super massive black holes are the largest type of black hole. They are at least one million times the size of our sun. Scientists say that there is at least one super massive black hole in every large galaxy, and there is even one at the center of ours.

Sagittarius A is the super massive black hole that lies in the center of the milky way galaxy. There are stars that orbit it, and it is about 44 million times the size of our sun.
