The Pillars of Creation
The pillars of creation are 3 three pillar-like structures that reside in the eagle nebula. They are named "The Pillars of Creation" because they are constantly creating new stars. The left pillar alone is 4 light years tall, and the tip of it is the size of our solar system. Although we can still see the pillars today, they were most likely destroyed by a supernova thousands of years ago.
