Nebulae
A nebula is an object in space made of dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases. Nebulae create stars (see the stars page) and they are known as the creators of the universe.
Formed
Many nebulae form from the gravitational collapse of gas in the interstellar medium. As the material collapses under its weight, stars may form in the center.
Other nebulae form from supernova explosions. The debris from the supernova is ionized by the energy.
